I’m feeling pretty good right now with how things are going. Everyone seems to really understand what’s going on and is doing amazingly well with the motion equations. There is always the few who confuse the 9.8 m/s^2 with velocity, but I’m hoping that working with the problems will clear that up.
I am still a little disappointed with the lab reports, though. There are only a few groups (and most are in 1st period - way to go guys!) that are understanding how to analyze and write an english sentence of the relationships between the variables. I’m not sure how to work on that - maybe a quick assignment as a refresher? I would just hate to lose the class time on that.
Well, the second test is coming up on Friday. I’m going to include a couple of questions referring to the labs in there to make sure that those who haven’t been towing the line or offering their fair share of the work in the lab write-ups go through the lab notes.
The AP kids are a little overwhelmed with forces - I know I give a lot of problems, but once they’ve figured out how to do them, the rest of the year will be SO much easier. I hope they appreciate it later. Oh and yes, I’m going to work on the shirt design with the new slogan. I’ve got to see how much more the shirts will cost with that on there. I want to keep the Varsity Physics, though. I still LOVE that!
Okay, I’ve gotta get back to grading papers and writing lesson plans. See everyone tomorrow!
